Experienced Global Business Development Leader Austin Ward of Houston

Austin Ward is a Houston, Texas-based business leader who served as the vice president of business development with Gulf Coast Bank and Trust between 2019 and 2022. During this time, he provided services to a variety of businesses, ranging from small startups to companies generating $100 million in annual revenue. He financed nearly 30 companies in 2021 for a combined $65 million of committed capital. He also generated approximately $1.4 million in interest and fee income in 2021. Before joining Gulf Coast Bank and Trust, Austin Ward served in a variety of positions, such as regional manager of Daily Thermetrics in the Netherlands and global director of Houston’s Weatherford International. His responsibilities at Weatherford International included the oversight of more than 50 employees in 20 countries producing upwards of $50 million in annual revenue.

Mr. Ward studied biology as an undergraduate at Texas A&M University. He continued his education at Rice University, earning a master of business administration in finance. Away from work, he enjoys snowboarding and painting.
